Carbon Positive
Prime Protect produces quality eyewear and generates positive impacts on society and on the environment by planting trees, creating income in the countryside, using sustainable materials, and recycling over 200% of our packaging. That is, when a consumer purchases our product, (s)he is planting at least one tree, removing at least two packages from the environment, and contributing to the reduction of carbon in the atmosphere.
It's not just eyewear.
Why Prime Protect Sunglasses?
Prime Protect is a Brazilian Carbon Positive company: in addition to offsetting the carbon and greenhouse gas emissions produced by all our activity (production, transportation, servers, etc.) - thus achieving neutral CO2 - the company goes further and plants even more trees, ensuring at least one native tree planted and maintained for each eyeglass purchased.
For two years, the technicians maintain the plantation (control of invasive species, fight pests, replant if necessary) to ensure the effectiveness of recovery. The rural residents of the region are hired to do the planting, with technical assistance outsourced. As rural workers are also hired, eyeglasses still have the social value of generating income in the countryside. After two years, the recomposition is monitored annually.
Native trees are planted in areas of Atlantic Forest recomposition and you are informed a few days after purchase of your tree(s) - species, location, and development. Over time, you will receive even more information about the development of the plantation and the state of recovery of the forest site.
Trees begin to rebuild the deforested area: they attract native animals, prevent soil erosion, preserve water, and provide shelter for other plant species.
The technical monitoring of the plantation ensures the effectiveness of the recovery.
The conscientious consumer chooses products that generate minimal environmental impact or even that generate positive impacts, such as Prime Protect. If you were looking for a good quality pair of sunglasses, the best option is an eyewear brand that helps to conserve and restore the environment.
When you buy Prime Protect eyewear instead of a regular eyewear, you get a very high quality product, thought to the smallest detail to bring style, comfort, and total protection against ultraviolet rays, as well as effectively promote the conservation and recovery of the environment.
Quality Products and Recycling
Our brand uses high quality materials and the glasses have uv400 protection factor, which is the highest protection rate that the lenses can provide, blocking 100% of UV rays. The uv400 has a higher level than the European UV Protection standard used by most brands, which allows a fraction of 5% of the rays to reach your eyes. Untrustworthy, counterfeit, or unbranded glasses may have substandard or null protection factors, which can harm your health as the shade of the lenses allows your eyes to remain open.
We also use recycled and recyclable materials whenever possible, reducing the production of plastic and waste. Our boxes are made of recycled and recyclable cardboard, and our covers are made of high quality material that, at the same time, protect and clean your glasses.
In addition, Prime Protect practices reverse logistics equivalence through environmental packaging compensation, recycling more than 200% of its packaging. That is, with each product purchased, the consumer is helping to remove at least two packages from the environment. The box is also recyclable, that is, if you dispose of it in recycled garbage, you will be helping to remove even more packaging from the environment. Find out more .
